This box is my first generation design. It does not have a compartment for a throat pump and the floor of the box is lined with thin foam. It has immense fly capacity and plenty of space for your tools and tippets. I have selected the most highly figured maple in my inventory for both the walls and lid of this box. The quilting on the lid of this one is literally museum quality! The walls are super figured tiger maple. This is as good as it gets!! I used a honey tint on the poly for this one so its got that deep, antique, gold hue. This is not a veneer like most keepsake boxes you will find being built by top woodworking artists. It is 100% solid maple through and through. The dividers are solid hardwood and they are designed for specific use based on standard tippet spool sizes, tapered leader packages, etc... The rippled foam is adhered to fully sealed pieces of thin plywood and each foam patch is removable for easy access. This one has an extra sheet of rippled foam permanently installed on the lid underside.

My boat boxes are built to be used in all weather situations and are built tough! Though I do recommend taking care of it and bringing it inside after your fishing trip to insure the utmost longevity.
